Wondering what to wear for Murder Mystery Ball? No need to stress; a plain suit or dress is perfectly appropriate. For those who are looking to dress up slightly nicer you are welcome to arrive in a tuxedo or ball gown. If you are undecided the best choice is something you already own and feel comfortable wearing for five hours. Please feel free to ask other members of your club or SSAGO as to what they have worn before for more ideas.

At the end of the ball we will be playing music and after this you are welcome to join us at the afterparty. This is significantly closer to the venue than most accommodation options so if you are wanting to come along for a boogie you may want to wear or bring suitable shoes to change into. Our afterparty venue will have a small area for us to put any belongings such as coats, however this area will not be secure so do not leave any valuables unattended.

Saving Money

We are well aware that ball this year is more expensive than the previous two so here are a couple of ideas on how you can save money:

• Charity shops - there are many charity shops across the country that sell formal wear that is in very good condition. In fact one of our co-treasurers bought the suit jacket he wore to Goose Ball for £3.
• Reusing clothes - we encourage you to wear what you have worn to previous balls, leaver events and graduations. Also, if you are buying new clothes, wear them to future events. Not only does this save money but it’s better for the environment.
• Borrow clothes - you can always ask relatives or friends who have a similar fashion sense if they have any clothes that may fit you. Remember you can also ask around your own club or use the SSAGO discord.
